Evette and I met during our college years, and we didn’t really stay in touch. However, social media has a way of keeping even acquaintances connected. So when Evette moved to Des Moines, and got engaged, she sent me an email. It was so much fun to reconnect with her during engagement photos with her and her fiance, Cole!
Do you need a break from the news and social media!? Here’s an idea to brighten up your social distancing or self-quarantine on this Monday!! Put on some Hawaiian music, switch your white noise machine to the “water/waves” sound, and scroll through this cute and romantic engagement session on the beach in Kauai, Hawaii!
I STILL CAN’T BELIEVE THIS DAY HAPPENED! Scratch that, I can’t believe this past WEEK was real life!
Holy Moly, Hawaii was the dream of a lifetime come true and these photos are just the very start of what I hope will be many successful trips to paradise to photograph lovers and dreamers and adventurers. Kauai and Oahu, you’ve got my heart and all the money in my travel account forever. :) Just need to get some more beach weddings booked there in 2020 and 2021, mmmk?!
Living in landlocked Iowa, it isn't often that I get to photograph a portrait session on the beach. Photographing Serene for her forthcoming EP release, on a beach, in NOVEMBER no less, was magical! The wind gave us a hard time, but we managed to make do. ;) Click to see a few of my favorite images. :)
