I love nothing more than a sweet lifestyle session in an early 1900s apartment! Clara and Eva called this space home for a year while living together, and it was so special to capture them (and cat Puddin’) in this gorgeous Sherman Hill building. This sweet early morning session at Ledges State Park never migrated over to this blog, so I’m sharing it (may or may not be 10 years later- oops!). Jackie and I were friends in high school, and it’s been so sweet to look back at our friendship over the past 15 years & count the many times she & Collin have had me photograph them and their growing family. Enjoy these sweet documentary-style engagement photos!
Summer as a child is the most magical of times! Long days at the community pool, catching fireflies and eating s’mores… I wish I could go back to the late 90’s for one more summertime. ;) This is a modern family living in a current reality, but I think these kids are still getting to experience summer in all its glory!
This photoshoot was a DREAM!! Working with some incredible models, on a beautiful beach in Hawaii, with the swimwear brand Acacia— literally the perfect evening, especially for January. ;) I’m so incredibly thankful for this experience with branding photography and hope to have more in the near future. Working with real models (no retouching- just real skin!!) and an amazing company was so much fun.
This sister-run small business hired me to take some branding photos last fall, and we opted to do them indoors since we had a gloomy & cold November day to work on. Thankfully, these studio photos really pop and bring a new level of professionalism to this fun business!!
Meet sweet babe Macie. She’s the cutest little one… and I loved capturing her first days at home with mom, dad and proud big sister!
I joyfully spent an hour on a warm, sunny Sunday afternoon with these two. They made my job SO EASY!!!! I sure hope that someday, Mary and Bobby look back on these photos and remember the simple and tenderness of this season— just them (and their doggo!) making a life together in their first apartment. I smile looking at each one of these, and I hope they bring you joy as well!
My sweet friend Rachel asked me this summer about my availability to photograph her family after the arrival of her first child, Evy. I was, of course, over the moon! Happy September! With my fall mini-sessions coming up in just a month, I've had lots of questions on what to wear for family photos! Picking outfits can be a challenge, so I decided to create a few free resources for families who want to look "on point" for their pictures! (Does anyone even say that anymore?!) Branding photography for small creative businesses has been on my radar for a long time! I love connecting other artists to the world through great imagery & social media--and with other artists, as well! Amelia McMurrin (not to be confused with me! ha.) paints incredible art. Her favorite medium is oil paint, but she's also extremely talented at watercolor, sketching, and multi-media art.
