Pella Wedding Photographers
Comfort and Devin’s story is just starting, and it was so touching to witness their marriage vows & tender love. I’ve only barely had a chance to know them, since Comfort only arrived back to the USA in late fall, but every interaction I’ve had shows me that these two have what it takes for not only a long, but loving, thriving, and community-centered marriage!
This day was SO HOT but you’d not know it from the photos!! Regan, Grant, and their whole crew were troopers and we had a wonderful August wedding day in Pella at Sun Valley Barn!
The sweetest day— as any Iowan knows, March can be the most turbulent of months. Yet, the grace of God shone (as well as the sun!) and we had a beautiful Saturday for this sweet couple to celebrate their marriage with friends and family from around the country!
Jenna and Treye’s wedding took place on one of the most popular days in June! And what a day it was. A few rainstorms hit Pella right before their first look was going to take place, but Jenna took it in stride. Sure enough, after waiting it out, the rains passed and the sun came out (bringing humidity right along with it!). Classic Iowa summers. What to even write!? Alyssa and Carter will be long-time friends of mine, even after their November wedding. I just know it! We had only communicated via email and the phone until the afternoon of their engagement photos. I was nervous (always!) but oh, so excited to meet these two. Wow. What do I say!? Lizzy, as I know her, roomed with me, in my first Ames apartment. She was a junior at ISU, and not long after moving in, this guy Nate started hanging around. He was kind of quiet at first (especially compared to her!) but slowly started sharing more of himself as we all crossed paths. Us girls figured out by the end of the year that we though he was the one for her… and we were right. ;)
Last night, I met up with Jenna and Treye in the downtown Des Moines area. A month ago, I photographed their proposal in West Des Moines. The next day they bought a house, and the following week, these two asked me to photograph their wedding. (I am sooo thrilled!) They’ll get married in Pella next June, and celebrate at Central College… and it’s going to be gorgeous!
