I love when couples decide to move forward with their dreams- for Kyla and Sam, that was an outdoor ceremony. Even with the rain, it was sweet and beautiful and perfect. Check out more of this Cedar Falls Rotary Reserve wedding day!!

Megan and Evan’s wedding day remained a gorgeous celebration of love, despite the months of hectic re-planning due to Coronavirus. They kept their original date, and chose to marry outdoors in the gorgeous space of Rock Creek State Park in central Iowa— with just immediate family and a couple close friends to witness their nuptials. This gorgeous fall wedding stole my heart! From the perfect wedding venue of Harpor’s Vineyard to some of the most fun people ever in this bridal party, I want to live this day over and over again!
Where to even start with this day!!! From the moment I walked in to the mall salon, to the last song I heard exiting the VFW in Waverly… this day made a mark in my heart. I can’t even begin to share how sweet this couple is! Kelsey and Josh and their son became a family, forever, and it truly couldn’t have been a more gorgeous July afternoon to start life off together!
I met Kyle & Nicole last fall, just after my move to the Des Moines area. They were looking for a wedding photographer, and so we met up at Smokey Row to chat. It went great, they booked me, and we had a wonderful evening taking their engagement photos in Ankeny by the lake. Both Nicole and Kyle are super fun yet relaxed types, so I knew their wedding day would be wonderful.
A year ago this weekend, I photographed a sweet wedding at the Celebration Barns in Eastern Iowa for Katie and Jackson. At the wedding, during family photos, they told me Jackson's sister (Mariah) and her fiancé (Will) were getting married the next year. I ran up to them at the end of the day, handed them my business card, and the spent about a week in bed recovering from the worst cold I'd ever had. Possibly because I'd been sick, I didn't remember that interaction until I received an email in the winter from Mariah-- asking if I'd be interested in photographing their destination wedding in Colorado!!!!
The answer to Colorado (or any destination wedding photography) is always yes in my book. ;)
Jillian and Anthony met in college, but they didn't feel immediate sparks. However, after months together on the road for a traveling class, their friendship slowly grew into more. They bought matching bear hats together (you'll see them later!) and share a love for the outdoors, family, and simplicity. All of that was evident in this gorgeous outdoor spring wedding at Oakwood Country Club in Coal Valley, Illinois!
