Trent and Jessica had a wonderfully smooth wedding day in August. Friends and family traveled from all over the midwest to celebrate with the newlyweds! Click through to see more of this downtown Waterloo summer wedding.
The dream of visiting Greece came about in high school, when I watched the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (and later, Mamma Mia) for the first time with my three best friends at the age of 16. The four of us talked about traveling together, but with two of them married, and us all working full time, crazy opposite schedules… I decided that I didn’t want to wait for something that probably wouldn’t ever happen. Emma invited me to join her in Fort Dodge to capture her life with her chickens, favorite cat, and of course out on a dusty country road! Nothing could be more “IOWA” than this senior session!!

A few favorites of Jenna’s senior photos in downtown des moines!
I loved getting to explore downtown Waterloo with these two— they just moved “back” there… Mallory grew up in CF, and she and Aaron met in college at UNI! So, how fitting that these two will begin their married life in the Cedar Valley again.
Tyler and Brooke’s day was perfect, even with the random rainstorms that stopped in unexpectedly! They have the very best friends and family, and the celebration thrown at The District Venue in Ankeny was NOT one to miss!
I hope you enjoy a few of the photos from my time in Joshua Tree!
check it out, and leave me a comment with what you wish your wedding photographer would have told you ahead of time!!
Just posting these photos 9 months later or so… haha oops!!
Ever considered some personal branding photos- whether for social media, your blog, website, or even dating apps!? Well, that’s what this session with Zephan is and I think it’s the best thing ever for 20 or 30-somethings! Why wait to capture you and your life!?
This session with Miriam was a dream of an evening. Her edgy style, some vintage vibes, and some retro parking lots including by Crescent Chevrolet, complete the feel! Probably my favorite downtown styled senior session to date.
These photos are some of my favorite because Shia is so wonderful, and we got to photograph at the historic Salisbury house! What a dream come true!
the blog post where: I detail on my style of editing which is vibrant, classic, timeless, and true to life!
This spring wedding at Keller Brick Barn was a day for the books! Click to see more of Kayla and Michael’s wedding day.
Elizabeth knew that she would be getting braces this spring, so we scheduled her for my senior photo package that allows her to do photos in not one but TWO seasons! We took photos in March, and I never got around to blogging them… but I’m so excited to meet up with her again and take more photos this fall.
Trent and Jessica will be getting married in just under 2 months, so it was high time to get some engagement photos taken for them! I’ve known Jess for a while, and so when she emailed me that she knew the two of them would be getting engaged shortly and she wanted me to photograph them, well, how could I say no!?
Even with some rain, we had fun running from the east side of campus to the west and all ‘round the campanile. Between a mix of serious and fun photos, Doz rocked them all and it was a fast hour together. Carly stepped in for a few of them together… they’re so perfect for one another, it was easy to see that! Enjoy Doz’s graduation photos at ISU in Ames!
Brooke and Tyler made time in their busy spring schedules to fit in some engagement photos with me— I’m soooo excited to get to spend the entire day with them and their crew when they marry in just a few short weeks!! We’re going to have the best time celebrating up in Ankeny at The District Venue!!
