Jackie and I met in high school, when our junior high classes merged. One of my most vivid memories was watching Juno at her house (and possibly her dressing up as Juno for Halloween!?). Fast forward into college, Jackie met Collin & they fell in love. After a few years of dating and being engaged, they married in a gorgeous outdoor wedding ceremony at the Mayowood Barn in Rochester, MN. They still live there, just outside Rochester, with their plump cat and excited golden retriever. Just over three weeks ago, they welcomed home their newest family member— sweet baby Ethan! Jackie emailed me a while back, asking if I’d be willing to make the trek up to Minnesota for some newborn photos in their home. I excitedly agreed, which brings us to this blog post. Buckle up and guard your hearts— this little man is going to try hard to steal them away with his tiny cuteness!
Ethan needed a diaper change, as all babies do, so I took that time to photograph some of the home details that have changed since Jackie & Collin brought home their son.

Does anyone else just melt when they see tiny baby details? Those little eyelashes, like tiny paintbrush hairs, and their perfectly shaped nose…and lips.. and ears… and TOES!
Aren’t tiny humans the best!? I just love them SO MUCH. If you’re looking for some newborn (or maternity!) photos this winter or spring, I’d love to come snuggle your burrito baby and take some photographs for you. After all, you can’t capture the newborn baby smell, but at least you can pretend to with these photos!
