This couple! I could go on for days about them- they’re fun, kind, thoughtful, and also SO resilient! They started dating during Covid, dealt with “short distance” for the past 2 years, and then had to change plans the weekend of their wedding due to a sister (and bridesmaid!) getting the Rona. Vendors bailed, the guest list was trimmed down, and on top of it all, Iowa graced us with a load of snow and ice and near-zero temperatures. Yet, these two went ahead and got married, with smiles on their faces and laughter at their lips. They’re an inspiration to me!

You may recognize the maid of honor & best man… I did their wedding photos 3.5 years ago. Natalie is Virginia’s younger sister, and she & Alex are the reason this wedding happened. A little matchmaking goes a long way, apparently! This family is truly the best, and even though Sal wasn’t able to be in the day-of celebrations, I know she was there in spirit.
