Diane and Jamie were a dream to work with! These two are some of the most incredibly smart, kind, and gracious humans to walk our earth and I so enjoyed getting to spend time with them- both at their engagement photos, on phone calls to chat about wedding day timelines and details, and on their very full and gorgeous October wedding last year in Des Moines. These two grew up in the same part of town, and their families were friends from church and school. But it wasn’t until a few younger siblings decided to do some matchmaking…. and these two fell hard for each other!

You’ll soon see why Diane’s dress was the most discussed gown on my Instagram… and that it was the inspiration for much of the day, reception and even wedding cake included!! After a sweet first look at the bride’s parents’ home, the couple took family photos at the church and then married in a gorgeous Catholic ceremony, led by the groom’s own brother! A lovely patio cocktail hour at the Wakonda Club followed for the guests, with more photos for the wedding party before a gorgeous dinner under fairy lights, and then dancing on the patio under the stars. :) Truly the most dreamy fall wedding!
