My Photo Style!
My wish is that your engagement and wedding photos will transport you back to the moments captured, as if you were enjoying them again! Because I’ve been photographing weddings for 10 years (and have seen every imaginable editing style!) … my personal editing choice is primarily true to color, vibrant, and timeless/classic. I’m not going to be super moody, beyond normal warm, or really bright or light & airy. These photos will stand the test of time, and my hope is that you’ll look back on these photos and feel as young as you were the day they were taken… even in 50 years!
Your photo gallery tones will depend on the day you plan (and the day that happens!). Meaning, if you are getting married in a barn with orange/red tones in the wood… that will probably mean some of the lighting will be warmer tones during reception photos. If you are planning a fully outdoor wedding, the images you receive will depend on lighting (are there clouds? is the sun out? what time of day is it?) And so on and so forth.
As a native Iowan photographer, I always suggest that your wedding venue have a variety of locations with good lighting and backgrounds, to allow for the sorts of images you want! That will be detailed in a later post. :) Feel free to email me with any questions!
Pricing and Packages (updated for 2024)
Local Des Moines metro wedding photography packages start at $3200 and include wedding day coverage and an engagement session. Every wedding day is unique and because of this the number of final images delivered varies. I also offer packages that include a second shooter and additional coverage. There is an additional travel fee if your wedding day is 100 miles or more away from Des Moines.
