Lori emailed last month, me after we had followed each other on Instagram (a while back). She told me that they were looking for some updated photos of the farm and family for their website, and asked if I would be interested in coming out to photograph them! OF COURSE I said yes… there are few things I love more than flowers! Bochner Farms grows a wide variety of gorgeous blooms all summer long, and is run by husband & wife team Jim and Lori, with help from their kids Nick and Miranda.
This crew greeted me with warm hospitality and in no time, we were laughing and exploring the farm. It’s 50 acres, but I only saw about 2 of them. Bochner Farms is only 3 years old, and they’ll be growing fast if I can predict anything! They give back to the community (GivingColor) and even gifted me a bouquet before I drove home. (swwwwooooooon!!!) You can find anything from daisies to dahlias, ranunculus to sunflowers, lisianthus to zinnias! But Jim’s pride and joy are his daylilies—he’s even started to hybrid his own, and is on the track to being a master gardener!! Pretty impressive.
