Michelle quickly became one of my best friends when I relocated to Des Moines a few years back. We bonded over our love for travel, Jesus, silly antics, and cats. Fast forward to 2020, and she started to mention a guy named Matt that she’d begun dating …and soon he was included in our game nights, ski trips, and Bible study. He’s a lot more quiet than Michelle, so it’s been a fun challenge to get to know him…but we knew things were serious after a challenging winter in 2021. Another friend & I started guessing when we thought he’d propose to our girl. Well, late this spring, out at Maffitt Lake, he popped the question (with a BEAUTIFUL vintage inspired ring!) and now he & Michelle are just a month away from marriage. These two balance each other out so well, and it’s been a real joy to watch them grow together, lean on each other, and build a life.
