Winter engagement sessions tend to be the most rare- with weather here in central Iowa being most unpredictable from November until April!! However, this winter must be a unicorn year, because I’ll have done 4 engagement sessions by the end of January! (Well, if the weather cooperates.)

Rachel and Simon drove down to meet me in Des Moines, and it was such a blast running around in a warmer, sun-filled evening recently. I cannot stress enough how happy I was to have sunshine! It really isn’t the shorter days that hurts as much as it is seeing the sun every two weeks. Praying that this perfect winter day is a good omen of weather on their wedding (in June- again, Iowa weather could really do anything in that time of year!). Regardless of weather, I know these two have their sights set on preparing well for marriage and lifetime of partnering in work, play, and adventure. I am looking forward to seeing these again to celebrate!!
