This photoshoot was a DREAM!! Working with some incredible models, on a beautiful beach in Hawaii, with the swimwear brand Acacia— literally the perfect evening, especially for January. ;) I’m so incredibly thankful for this experience with branding photography and hope to have more in the near future. Working with real models (no retouching- just real skin!!) and an amazing company was so much fun.

This sister-run small business hired me to take some branding photos last fall, and we opted to do them indoors since we had a gloomy & cold November day to work on. Thankfully, these studio photos really pop and bring a new level of professionalism to this fun business!!

Flowers bring joy to just about everyone. I mean, what kind of sad life would we have without flowers!? So, getting to visit a local and true life family flower farm last week made my summer dreams come true! Bochner Farms invited me over to photograph their summer blooms, specifically their daylily fields, and it was a magical evening. I’ve always offered professional headshot and branding photography… but I feel like it’s something I rarely share here. That’s about to change! I love offering high quality and personal photos to other business owners (especially women in small business!) and headshots to anyone who needs a few updated photos.
A good photo can go a LONG WAY in telling who you are! It may be just for your Linkedin profile, a dating app or site, or because you’ve jumped into self-employment as a new business owner!
Sophia and I met two & a half years ago at Iowa State. She was a freshman, walking through so many life changes and adventures! We met up a few times to talk, but our paths didn’t cross as much the following year. Now that I’m running my photography business in Des Moines, instead of Ames, our paths never cross. Until last week! Sophia decided to take me up on my mentoring sessions, and the Lord gave us a perfectly beautiful day!

I love connecting other artists to the world through great imagery & social media--and with other artists, as well! Amelia McMurrin (not to be confused with me! ha.) paints incredible art. Her favorite medium is oil paint, but she's also extremely talented at watercolor, sketching, and multi-media art.
