When Liz and I first connected on the phone over the winter, she shared with me how she and Chris were excited to get married in the summer of 2024 at Rollins Mansion, that they’ve been together for many years. Both of them attended Iowa State, as I did, so they requested engagement photos on campus.
Now Chris & Liz live in Ankeny, just outside of the metro, where Chris works as an engineer and Liz teaches the brilliant young minds of tomorrow. It was so fun to chat with them about life, college memories, and summer plans. We also ran into Liz’s dad on campus, biking… training for RAGBRAI, as it seems everyone is these days!!
It was a joy to be back in Ames - this population turns into the ideal town during summer break, quiet and lush with greens and manicured garden beds across the university campus.
