Spring is in full bloom, which means the end of school and start of summer vacation is nigh! With summer vacation comes my very favorite thing- senior photos for the upcoming graduating class!! I truly can’t believe that we’re a month away from the Class of 2026 starting their final summer of high school. I have such fond memories of that season of my life, especially anticipating what to wear for my senior photos and finding locations that fit my vision at that time. Many things have changed in the past 15 years of so, but getting to plan out a senior photoshoot and dream up fun ideas has definitely not. Here are a few things I would love to see this year!!

Senior Photos by the Water
-I’ll never get tired of senior photos along a river sandbank, or the beach at a local lake!!
-some ideas you could snag: picnic by the lake, bringing along your paddleboard or kayak, or setting up a cozy corner with outdoor beach pillows and your favorite books!
Finding Unique to You locations!
-maybe it’s a spot in the local park or woods where you love to hang your hammock!
-or you can include your favorite things, like boba while looking at flowers in the garden center, or set up a fort in your backyard for s’mores under your twinkle lights during golden hour
What “sparks joy” in your life?
-we could set up a fake photobooth - a great way to get photos with some of your favorites plushies!
-let’s capture you doing your favorite Saturday things- the DSM farmer’s market, writing in your favorite cafe, and then on a run prepping for your next 5k
There really are SO many ideas. It just takes a little brainstorming and we can truly create some magic together! Let’s go and get it!
