The Class of 2027’s time to shine is quickly approaching, as the current senior class prepares to graduate. I had a wonderful time with this group of besties who will be rockin’ the halls of Dowling as senior girls this fall! Nothing like a cool day for an even cooler senior guy to snap his photos around Grey’s Lake! Luke was a blast to hang out with, and I enjoyed catching up with him and mom during this short & sweet senior photo session.

Des Moines never disappoints me with the perfect senior photo locations, and the coolest seniors. I loved getting to hang out with Kenzie, who will graduate from South East Polk High School! She’s a fun and kind gal, and I’m so glad we got to spend time capturing her smile and style this summer.

I always tell people that my favorite kind of session is a senior session- usually, I’m referring to high school senior photography. However, it really is extra special to get to capture University graduates. ESPECIALLY when they’re PHD grads!! SUCH A BIG DEAL!! Congrats to these two Doctors!

It means a lot to have families I know ask me to capture the milestones in life- so it was great to get to catch up with Joseph for a short fall senior photo session (we’ll finish up in the spring, post-dental work!). He’s a remarkable young man, and I can’t wait to hear what adventures lie ahead after he graduates high school!

Claire has an artistic spirit and it was a joy to get to capture that during her senior session! We started out at the historic (and stunning!) Capital Law Library, followed by a scenic backdrop of the rose gardens, and ended in East Village for some modern pictures.
Summer nights are truly the best thing! Especially in June before the heat and humidity really hit. ;) I loved getting to photograph Kaylee as she heads into her senior year at Boone HS. She’s a fun one, and will go far in life!!
