November weddings haven’t been the most common, but they’re growing in popularity and I honestly love it. The penultimate month has a calm beauty to it, nestled between the heart of fall and the chaos of Christmas. Clara and Duy planned a stunning mid-November wedding in gorgeous Middlebury, Vermont (the town they met and fell in love in) - and it didn’t disappoint at all!

Couples who are comfortable enough to go off the beaten path and plan a unique wedding, like Cat and Drake, make this job as a wedding photographer so fun. These two held a renaissance inspired wedding at the iconic Rollins Mansion, and it was the most stunning day and celebration!!
2022 was a much busier year of photographing weddings than I expected, but in the sweetest way. I had SO many wonderful couples to work with, and we saw snow, rain, and extreme heat. 9 of the 12 months held weddings, and each one was full of kind souls that made the long days and sometimes overnight travel worth it.
This wedding day… one of the best couples, and just the most kind humans. I’m so excited to share a few highlights from Maddi and Ryan’s wedding at Rustic Rose Barn, just north of Des Moines in central Iowa!
This wedding was a challenge, mainly due to the INTENSE cold! January doesn’t play around in Iowa, but thankfully we had some beautiful sunshine for this intimate downtown wedding at Bash DSM!
I can’t begin to tell you how much this wedding day means to me. It was a story completely unique to itself, and an honor to capture through the ups and downs. From Sierra’s first look with her dad, to the “second kiss” she and Dalton shared just after being pronounced husband + wife, to the emotional toasts given by her sister and his brother… this day will forever remain close to my heart. Enjoy this boho barn wedding at Irishman Acres in Bondurant! <3
My favorite photos from my wedding photography in Des Moines, Iowa. Enjoy some tender moments and joyful memories of so many wonderful wedding days in the Midwest!
This gorgeous fall wedding stole my heart! From the perfect wedding venue of Harpor’s Vineyard to some of the most fun people ever in this bridal party, I want to live this day over and over again!

Jenna and Treye’s wedding took place on one of the most popular days in June! And what a day it was. A few rainstorms hit Pella right before their first look was going to take place, but Jenna took it in stride. Sure enough, after waiting it out, the rains passed and the sun came out (bringing humidity right along with it!). Classic Iowa summers. Click to see more wedding photography of this summer Pella wedding day!
Heather and Clinton’s wedding day also took place in Sioux City, Iowa and Nebraska this past weekend. June is such a wild card month, with torrential rain storms and hot sunny days. Thankfully, their wedding day was the latter and honestly, just gorgeous for an early summer wedding! The sun rose early and stuck around through the reception, shining down love on the newlyweds.
Travel has been part of my life since birth. (Literally!) Most of you know that I’m always down for another adventure— especially a cross-cultural one. One the last Saturday in March, I had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Nepal… but not really. :) Although India & Nepal have long been on my bucket list to visit, this wedding was a blend of Nepali and American culture just up the road in Madrid & Johnston, Iowa!
Elizabeth & Paras met in college, on their first day of classes, I believe! It’s always fascinating to meet others around my age who were in school at UNI. Although I was never technically a UNI student, I was on campus enough my first three years of college to confuse a lot of my friends there. Ha! It’s a wonder I never met these two back then. Regardless, we’ve got mutual friends and that’s how I ended up connecting with the couple & photographing this wedding day.
