Rose Garden Des Moines
These friends. I miss having them in town, but I’m so glad they’re living life in my hometown and doing some good work and community building there. These photos will always be sweet to me… and hopefully, to them!! We took them just up the road from where Kylie studied at DMU, and honestly I love the Rose Garden in every season…but especially fall. :)
There’s literally nothing more perfect than maternity photos in the spring! Hope blooms afresh in the flowers, nesting birds, and baby bellies alike. Enjoy this precious session with Simon and Carolina!
Madeline officially graduates from high school this month, and although we took her senior photos back in March, it was chilly and overcast… so we decided to take a few more with the green spaces and flowers that pop up in late spring. The Rose Gardens in Des Moines set us up for the perfect June evening— I’ll never get tired of it! Plus, I hadn’t taken any senior photos there yet, so I’m glad Madeline was up for it. :) She brought along her cap, gown, and tassels for the occasion, perfect for celebrating high school graduation!
I knew from the first minute of sitting down with Melanie for coffee that we’d be friends. It doesn’t hurt that one of my best friends, Jess, referred Mel to me as soon as they got engaged. ;) Referrals make my heart SING and they’re truly the best. I’d be honored to have you refer friends or family to me for wedding, senior, or family photos!
What to even write!? Alyssa and Carter will be long-time friends of mine, even after their November wedding. I just know it! We had only communicated via email and the phone until the afternoon of their engagement photos. I was nervous (always!) but oh, so excited to meet these two.
