I’ve seen it all (or near it!) these past 10+ years in business. So when I get to work with couples walking towards marriage who are kind, calm and focused together, it brings me so much joy. Christy and Erkam connected online, and over the years have worked to build a life together based in Des Moines. They asked me to photograph their engagement, and we truly had the prettiest October evening! Recently, I’ve asked clients how they’d like to incorporate aspects of their life & relationship into engagement photos, and Christy mentioned hammocking. We’d hoped to also use their bikes, but due to heavy rains in September we had to forgo their beloved bike path. Regardless, their engagement session turned out splendidly! I love the gradients of color we had as backdrops, a mix of greens, yellows and oranges. :)
