Des Moines never disappoints me with the perfect senior photo locations, and the coolest seniors. I loved getting to hang out with Kenzie, who will graduate from South East Polk High School! She’s a fun and kind gal, and I’m so glad we got to spend time capturing her smile and style this summer.
Anya’s session was everything that we dream about- full of gorgeous golden light, wildflowers, and giggles!

It means a lot to have families I know ask me to capture the milestones in life- so it was great to get to catch up with Joseph for a short fall senior photo session (we’ll finish up in the spring, post-dental work!). He’s a remarkable young man, and I can’t wait to hear what adventures lie ahead after he graduates high school!
Claire has an artistic spirit and it was a joy to get to capture that during her senior session! We started out at the historic (and stunning!) Capital Law Library, followed by a scenic backdrop of the rose gardens, and ended in East Village for some modern pictures.
Summer nights are truly the best thing! Especially in June before the heat and humidity really hit. ;) I loved getting to photograph Kaylee as she heads into her senior year at Boone HS. She’s a fun one, and will go far in life!!

Emilia and I share a name (in pronunciation, at least!) and a love of fashion & reading. We may read very different books and watch opposite styles of film, but it was fun to get to know her & her mom during this fall senior session! Ryan’s mom hired me to take photos of her son, wanting to capture this season in his life. And it was such a perfect evening! Ryan brought his best self & smile, and we enjoyed wandering Des Moines alleyways and rooftops, ending with some portraits of him with his car & Han Solo’s ‘sabacc’ dice! You know I love a good Star Wars reference, so this is a senior session I’ll long remember!
Piper is so fun & I loved getting to know her over coffee, and spend an evening with her and mom exploring Des Moines. We started her senior photos downtown, and headed to a nature park for photos with her doggo and in the last rays of sunshine. June senior photos in Iowa never miss!
I’m a fan of summertime, golden hour, and wildflowers- and so is Kaitlyn! We had a blast exploring West Des Moines for her senior photos this last month.
Jacie’s going to be a senior this fall at Pella High- where she runs! She’s pretty good, from all the medals and records she shared with me. We had a fantastically gorgeous night (normally late July is hot and MUGGY) but we got a wonderfully golden hour with perfect temperatures.
Elise will be a senior at Teddy Roosevelt High School this fall, where she’s active in cheer and academics. We had a wonderful time taking her senior photos on the new field there, as well as around town at some of her favorite spots. :) Enjoy a few highlights from Elise’s senior pictures!
I don’t often take senior guy photos- they just don’t come my way as often as the gals do! But Ian was such a treat to work with, and we had a beautiful golden hour to capture some memories of him on the cusp of adulthood and all that lies beyond high school.
