As I gear up for a summer season ahead, I'm realizing that my schedule is still pretty flexible. Part of me worries about that, but I'm also really thankful for the possibilities that provides: rest, travel, seeing Hamilton at the Des Moines Performing Arts Center, and maybe doing some second-shooting for other photographers, or filming more wedding day videos!

Last May, I had the privilege to try my hand at wedding videography. It was honestly the most gorgeous rainy wedding day I'd seen, moody and woodland magical! Dirk and Emily care genuinely for each person they meet. Likewise, the people they surround themselves with are also kind and SO FUNNY! They put up with the rain in great spirits, and generally enjoyed themselves. This entire wedding day (except for getting ready) took place at the Rotary Reserve in Cedar Falls, Iowa. It's a sweet venue, nestled back into the trees just north of town. Many of my best friends have married here, and it's just the right place for a rainy summer wedding day. Take a look for yourself!

Shooting wedding videography has been a long-time dream of mine. This summer is looking up--there's a few possible weddings for me to grow in this skill and I am thrilled! I still have some availability for wedding videos in Des Moines, Ames, and Cedar Falls (and surrounding areas) of Iowa. Traveling out of state is also an option! Shoot me a note if you're looking for a wedding videographer on the less expensive side, but with good storytelling taste. ;)
