Does anyone else out there feel like you always expect life to slow down in the summertime... except that it somehow never does?! Or is that just me?
Well, either way, I've had this blog post in my queue for about 2.5 weeks. OOPS. Not because I haven't wanted to post it. In fact, it was one of my favorite evenings of the summer yet! Luke and Megan brought a sense of relaxation to their session, and we just wandered around downtown Des Moines and WaterWorks Park for a solid few hours while the sun set. It was gorgeous, despite the humidity. ;)
The gardens out front of the World Food Prize building had long called my name, so we stopped there first. Where else can you get the perfect blend of "city" and green space?!
We switched up spots, and headed more into the downtown area in Des Moines. It was pretty busy for a Sunday evening, but we were able to find a few locations without anyone else around! Also, we found a parking sign with a 22 on it-- which is the day they'll get married! Too wacky and fun!
Finally, over to a more rustic spot-- perfect for these two, and the feel of thier wedding day!
Sneaking over to Jasper Winery was the prefect ending! There was a live concert going on, so we (and by we, I mean they!) danced to the music amidst the growing vines. It had gotten hot and buggy, so we celebrated Megan and Luke's engagement photos with some Fong's Pizza. What better way to end a summer session!?
I can't wait for your wedding this September, guys!
