2026 will go down in history as the year spring FINALLY came to Des Moines, and stayed! Springtime always seems to fly by, but this year we’ve had some gorgeously cool weather (and of course, some hot days). Patience and Sam were troopers, running around with me on a cool, overcast May evening to spend time together and capture this season of their engagement before their summer internships. Sam will move back to Iowa in early August, and these two will get married a week or so later! I’m thankful that these two are so easygoing and sweet, we had a fun evening even with a few goosebumps and crossed fingers over rainclouds. I’m sure Iowa won’t be as kind to us in August (I’m anticipating some serious humidity!) but regardless, it will be a joy-filled day. :)
