Graduation photos mean so much because they’re celebrating the individual involved, and all their hard work- usually 4 years of late library nights, early morning coffees, and bonding with classmates over homework assignments. Well, this session wasn’t any ordinary senior session at Iowa State University in gorgeous Ames, Iowa!! Alycia and Christine both wanted to document graduating with not just a masters, but their PHD degrees! That’s right, these two are DOCTORS!! (Just not the medical kind, aha!)
Springtime came to Iowa and stayed soooo long, which meant dodging a few evenings of thunderstorms and even hail. But, we prevailed and actually saw the sun shine on central campus as we photographed among the late spring flowers and leafy trees scattered among academic buildings. We took advantage of the iconic gates at Lago (where many a student enjoys a break with a snack between classes), the campanile, as well as the pretty outdoor steps of Curtiss. Both of these two are on to post-academic life, and I wish them all the best! Congrats, you two!
