When Cecelia and her mom emailed me about taking senior photos outdoors, and her love for all things botanical, I immediately knew we would get along great. Senior gal photography is my jam, and it’s always a blast hunting down flowers in fields or blooming downtown Des Moines for sessions. We decided to start our session in the East Village, with a modern elegant vibe to match Cecelia’s timeless outfit. The light draped around her, and the streets were quiet on a Monday evening. The hazy skies backlit the DSM skyline for our second spot, where Cecelia donned a comfy jean and tank look. We chatted about shows and music and life in-between photos, and I was reminded for the hundredth time why I love this job as senior girl photographer. :) We ended near Easter Lake, at a yellow field of flowers to encapsulate summer in Iowa!
